Speak Out to End Corporate Personhood
I pledge to speak out to End Corporate Personhood
as often as I have the ability & opportunity to do so.
The "legal person" status of Corporate "entities" must be revoked before WE (LIFE) can gain any ground towards HEALING. In my own view, THIS is "the most pressing issue facing the country today" which I "would make the centerpiece of the address if [I] were President" NOW:
END CORPORATE PERSONHOOD
Ultimately pols & govs must join the People in efforts to free ourselves and our planet from the Chains, Catastrophes & Anti-Life IM-Balances of Corporatism, which are systematically destroying all life, liberty, & PURSUITS OF happiness, health, peace, education, wisdom, creativity, love, spirit, & all the things that really count in life to all living beings. In order for vital changes to be possible, the "legal person" status of Corporate "personhoods" must be revoked. Until this is accomplished, Corporate "entities" will thwart all vital changes because these changes require that these "entities" GIVE BACK to the Universe upon which they depend for their inedible Profits.
One need not agree with me about "what is the most important issue" in order to sign and fulfill this pledge.

As the world is today, most of the "Evil" that is being done to humanity and the environment is perpetrated by Corporations and their minions because it serves their interests to do so. Disease, sickness, war, pollution, fear mongering, political unrest, and human suffering all add to their bottom-line. All of this was brought about by "Corporate Personhood" (thank you very much!). With the track record that Corporations have, expanding the rights of "Corporate Personhood" can only lead to greater and greater amounts of the same.

Michael Hudson, writing for Global Research, says that this outrage is manufactured to divert our attention to the larger question, what happened to the larger sums of money and who benefited from it.
At the same time the Michael is asking these questions, Eliot Spitzer, former Gov of NY, is asking the same kind of questions.

It may seem odd, but the public outrage against $135 million in AIG bonuses is a godsend to Wall Street, AID scoundrels included. How can the media be so preoccupied with the discovery that there is self-serving greed to be found in the financial sector? Every TV channel and every newspaper in the country, from right to left, have made these bonuses the lead story over the past two days.
What is wrong with this picture? Is there not something over-inflated about the outrage led most vociferously by Senator Charles Schumer and Rep. Barney Frank, the two leading shills for the bank giveaways over the past year? And does Pres. Obama perhaps find it convenient that finally, at long last, he has been able to criticize something that he believes Wall Street has done wrong? Even the Wall Street Journal has gotten into the act. The government's takeover of AIG, it pointed out, "uses the firm as a conduit to bail out other institutions." So much more greed is involved than just that of AIG employees. The firm owed much more to other players – abroad as well as on Wall Street – than the assets it had. That is what drove it to insolvency. And popular opposition has been rising to how Mr. Obama and Mr. McCain could have banded together to support the bailout that, in retrospect, amounts to trillions and trillions of dollars thrown "down the drain." Not really down the drain at all, of course – but given to financial speculators on the winning "smart" side of AIG's bad financial gambles.

I am outraged that the Department of Health and Human Services is trying to redefine "abortion" to include birth control. This would effectively end health insurance coverage for the pill and potentially block emergency contraception for victims of rape.
I CAN'T BELIEVE IT HAS COME TO SUCH LACK OF COMMON SENSE AND UNETHICAL TWEAKING OF OUR LANGUAGE IN ORDER TO JUSTIFY CONTROL OVER THE MASSES. LEGAL SEMANTICS IS BEING USED TO DESTROY US WITH GALLING RULES FOR THE PEOPLE AND IMPUNITY FROM THE MOST HEINOUS CRIMES FOR THE "DECIDERS" ... THE CORPORATE PERSONHOODS ... THE NON-HUMAN "ENTITIES" WHO ARE DESTROYING ALL THAT IS MOST SACRED TO LIFE, INCLUDING LIFE ITSELF. i mean ... how ridiculous can you get???, "Contraception is NOT Abortion". ...

Newspapers are reporting that dozens of state laws protecting reproductive rights will be threatened by this move. A letter signed by 28 senators warns: "The draft regulation would define birth control as abortion...it could deny access to critical family planning for women across the country."
This is unacceptable. Please fulfill your commitment to sound health policy based on science and not cave to the special interests behind this latest maneuver.
